Pearl, you were woven into our everyday life. The memory of your companionship and daily interactions still makes me smile. We had many years together, but they still do not feel like enough.

There are still moments when the loss feels new again. I have learned not to argue with that. You mattered too much for your absence to become nothing. I am grateful for every ordinary day we got to share.
